NHL23 HISTORICAL RATINGS GENERATOR VERSION 2 RELEASED

 

My latest mod/utility is designed to generate player ratings for more than 2700 NHL players throughout history based on real life performance and statistical evaluation ranging from Point Shares and the standard "core" stats like goals and assists to more recently tracked stats such as hits, blocks, giveaways and takeaways and faceoff data. New in Version 2

- The generator now includes data for more than 2700 players since the beginning of the NHL. I decided that losing older players was a bigger price to pay than potentially diluting the player pool and overrating some guys. So players like Maurice Richard and King Clancy are included.

- You no longer will have to manually enter the number of seasons a player played, it is now in the data set

- Calculation of body checking ratings has been adjusted a bit for older players who don’t have checking data. The old system underrated players in this regard.

- Improved classifications of player types (there were too many snipers and playmakers, not enough two-way and power)

- Improved allocation of zone skills and abilities (I was a bit too generous with these in V1)
